Updates

360 Hextile keeps itself current with an automatic update system. Updates download silently in the background and apply on the next restart — no manual installers, no interruptions to your work.

Auto-Update System

360 Hextile checks for updates automatically on launch and periodically while running. When a new version is available, it downloads in the background. The update installs the next time you restart the application. You will see a notification when an update is ready.

Channels

Choose your update channel in Settings:

• Alpha — Latest features as they land. May be unstable. For testers and early adopters.
• Beta — Early access to new features with basic stability testing. Mostly stable.
• Production — Fully tested releases. Recommended for production use.

Manual Check

Use Help → Check for Updates to manually check for the latest version. If an update is available, it begins downloading immediately.

Version Compatibility

Project files (.hextile.json) are forward-compatible. Newer versions of 360 Hextile can always open projects created in older versions. The self-healing config loader handles version drift automatically — no manual migration needed.
