Fractals

Alpha: Fractals are available for testing and feedback. The workflow and limits can change before production release.

Fractals opens from the 2D Create desk, alongside Patterns. The source panel keeps the normal Create workspace visible. Select Enter Fractal Explorer when you want the dedicated full-screen explorer. Pick a generator, dial its parameters, and map the result onto the sphere as an equirectangular starting image.

Why use Fractals?

• A first-class Create source, the same standing as Patterns, a 360 LoRA generation, or an imported photo.
• 22 GPU fractal generators, mapped onto the sphere so the output is equirectangular with seams addressed by geometry.
• 70 factory presets across the tagged set — a fast starting point you can then edit.
• Zoom, iterations, power, and palettes are all editable.

Generators

The catalog ships 22 tagged fractal generators, plus named cousins such as Nova and Phoenix Julia. Familiar names to start with:

• Mandelbrot
• Julia
• Newton
• Burning Ship
• Mandelbox DE
• Menger Sponge
• Fractal Flame
• Tricorn

Basic workflow

1. Open the 2D Create desk and select Fractals (Alpha).
2. Select Enter Fractal Explorer.
3. Pick a formula — start with Mandelbrot, Julia, Newton, or Burning Ship, then explore the rest.
4. Dial iterations, zoom, power, and palette. The live wrap preview renders at 1024×512 or 2048×1024.
5. Save a preset when a look lands.
6. Select Import to return the selected view to Create. Import is available only when the selected preview fraction fits the 2048×1024 import canvas. Large 12K or 16K explorer output can disable Import until you choose a smaller fraction.
7. Tile, resize, or grade the imported equirect like any other working image.
