License Activation

After Purchase

• License key delivered via email immediately after purchase
• Key format: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
• Also visible in your account dashboard at 360hextile.com/account

Activating Your License

During First Run

The first-run wizard (Step 2) prompts for your license key: 1. Paste your license key 2. Click "Activate" 3. Key validated against server (one-time, requires internet) 4. Machine fingerprint registered 5. Confirmation displayed with your license tier

From Settings (After First Run)

• Open Settings → License section
• Enter your license key → Click Activate
• Same validation process as first-run

What Happens on Activation

• Key verified cryptographically (Ed25519 signature)
• Your machine's hardware fingerprint is registered
• License stored locally — works fully offline after activation
• All Standard features unlocked immediately

Activation Limits

• 2 machine activations per Standard license
• Each activation tied to a hardware fingerprint (CPU + storage + network)
• Changing major hardware (motherboard, CPU) may consume a new activation slot

Deactivating / Transferring to Another Machine

1. In-app: Settings → License → Deactivate
2. This frees one activation slot
3. You can now activate on a different machine
4. Also manageable via 360hextile.com/account

Offline Use

• License works completely offline after initial activation
• No internet required for rendering, processing, or any features
• Periodic online check (every 24 hours when connected) — 7-day grace period if offline

Troubleshooting

• "Activation limit reached" → Deactivate an unused machine first
• "Invalid license key" → Check for typos, copy directly from email
• "Server unreachable" → Check internet, try again in a few minutes
• "License revoked" → Contact 360hextile@phong.com
