Spot Editor

Hold a view on the sphere, compare takes, and commit the one you want to keep.

Hold the view. Try another take.

Turn on Lock position and a Spot stops moving: yaw, pitch, roll, and field of view stay exactly where you put them. Every further preview aims at the same place and lands in the Variations filmstrip as a draft, so you can look at them side by side before deciding.

Commit promotes the take you picked into the project. Discard clears the drafts you did not want. Without the lock, a Spot keeps rewriting one draft as you re-aim it, which is the right behaviour while you are still hunting for the shot.

Tile Preview brings the same choose-before-commit workflow to a single hextile face. A face is pose-fixed by the template, so multiple takes are always available there and there is no lock to set.

Schematic: position and framing stay fixed; only the result changes.

A Spot starts as a preview and becomes a durable draft node while you compare. Commit promotes the selected take into the project; Discard deletes the drafts you do not want.

Lock position freezes yaw, pitch, roll, and field of view. The Variations filmstrip has a soft cap of 8 takes, while the sphere-true footprint stays correct at any pitch.

Mask the sphere

Spot work uses a native 9-ch inpaint mask rather than a flat-image approximation.

Preview one face

Tile Preview uses the same machine on a template-fixed face.
