Tiles
Render one face of the polyhedron, compare the takes, and commit the one you want to keep.
Tile Preview is the viewer tool labeled Tiles. On an open render it runs diffusion on one hextile face, so you can judge that tile before it enters the project.
Pick the face on the sphere, or step to it. Render makes a draft of that face. Each draft joins the filmstrip for the face, which holds up to 8 takes. Commit promotes the take you keep. Discard deletes the drafts you do not want.
The face is pose-fixed by the template. Every take lands on the same face, so there is no lock to set.
