What's new

RTX 5090 and Blackwell — Support on RTX 5090 and similar Blackwell cards (5070, 5070 Ti, 5080) is still experimental. This build keeps the CUDA 12.8 stack from 1.2.3-alpha. GPU idle admission now accepts cached and cold doors and retries Evict-idle when VRAM is short. A later alpha may still be needed.

Models — The Models download page is redesigned. It opens on Top picks (runs well on your system), then Works with your GPU, Slow, and Unavailable. Start here still queues Install all recommended models. Test, Validate, and Uninstall live in the card overflow. VRAM tables sit behind Advanced. Each pipeline card has a representative box and a full-width Install. The recommended strip hides when that set is already installed.

Auto Describe — Hover the Camera on Describe to latch Auto. Prompt tab defaults on: empty global Describe runs before RENDER. Tiles and Spot default off. A fully empty prompt set always Describes before RENDER. Tiles gates Auto on the authored face prompt: a filled box Previews; an empty box Describes first. RENDER Describe-if-empty leaves a filled global prompt in place.

Tiles and Spot — A far-left footer dice rolls a new seed and starts Preview. Variation filmstrip soft cap is 16.

Export — Equirect JPG can embed Photo Sphere (GPano) XMP. Include 360 metadata (Facebook / Photo Sphere) is on by default. Off writes a plain JPEG.

Create — Solid Color sits before Fractal. Sequence sits with Fractal on the landing. Dock labels match the header menu.

Defaults — Strength uses the shared seven-tick ladder on every pipeline. FLUX.2 Klein 4B default steps are 8. SDXL Base default steps are 20.

Update — When an update exists, the dialog leads with Update available.

Minilog — Tiled pipelines show cold-load stage breadcrumbs on first use.

Fixes

• Duplicate and clone keep the source live recipe, including prompt and size. A cancelled duplicate no longer leaves a minted render behind.
• Library filters, including Favorites, persist. Back from the overlay keeps Favorites and the other filter state.
• GPano XMP is written after JFIF APP0. Equirect JPG save errors surface as Export failed.
• Auto Describe refuses an unready crop and holds Preview while Describe is still writing the prompt. Tiles Auto Describe reads the authored face prompt. RENDER Describe-if-empty leaves a filled global prompt in place.
• App boot no longer dies on pipeline bind.
• GPU idle admission accepts cached and cold doors, retries Evict-idle when VRAM is short, and shows a holder toast. Auto/Resident copy no longer claims an idle timer that is not there.
• Models cards use one-meaning color: Install is a full-width brand bar; Uninstall is red; download chrome stays violet. Closed-card error copy stays put when a sibling is downloading.
• Tag lists grow with the viewport (dropdown 80vh, Library filter 85vh).
• RichTooltip no longer sticks during a resize.

Alpha notes

RTX 5090 and other Blackwell cards remain first-look from 1.2.3-alpha. Support is still experimental. If a model fails to load or a render dies on a 50-series GPU, send the log from Help → Send Feedback.

A later 1.2 alpha should appear in Help → Check for Updates. If a tool wait-pills forever or Exit refuses to park, send the log from Help → Send Feedback.
