Since 1.2.4-alpha. Generate Layer on Layers paints an AI sticker onto the 360. Model downloads resume, show real progress, and Repair from the same surfaces. Early preview. Expect rough edges.

What's new

Generate Layer — On Layers, write a prompt and Generate an AI sticker onto the 360. Open it from the Layers toolbar menu, the panel pair with Cutout Layer, or the Commit footer. The card stays hidden until you open it and sits between Actions and Effects. The panel button is Close Generate Layer while it is open. Switching to Cutout Layer leaves the card up. The 360 Log card stays up while Generate runs.

• Prompt — Sticker prompt (What should the sticker show?). Compact toolbar. Style chips can be removed.
• Diffusion — CFG, Steps, Seed (dice rolls a new seed). Advanced starts collapsed: Scheduler, Pipeline, LoRAs, Size (Square / Landscape / Portrait), Negative, Alpha (Auto-cutout or Opaque), Global Prompt, Directional Prompt, Style, Semantic Blend. Directional Prompt needs Scene on. Size stays Square while Scene is on.
• Scene — Off lands at the click camera. On lands at the captured Aim and can carry the crop (Strength; 1.00 is Text only · lands at aim). Describe on Scene when that prompt is empty. The Scene well opens when Scene is enabled.
• Modularity — Isolated subject for cutout. Off for canopy, fields, masses. Best for one opaque subject.
• Generate — Mints the sticker (Generating… then Matting…). Cancel while it runs. Needs a prompt.
• After it lands — Versions strip (cap 8). Re-gen appends a new version on the same sticker; pose stays. GENERATE VARIATIONS is the prime control: another sticker at this aim, or where you are looking, new seed. Per-version Copy peels that version into its own layer. Select or discard on the strip.

A learning card follows this surface. Style starts on and can be switched off.

Cutout Layer — Target Cutout lives on the Layers panel as Cutout Layer, beside Generate Layer.

Model downloads — Header Downloads pill sits left of the GPU pill (same pill chassis; idle is icon-only; active shows a spinner and Downloading…). Popover: Downloading, Up next, Nothing downloading, Download Models. Stopped rows keep the reason; reused files are noted. A software-update download joins this queue. Resume a model download after cancel, shutdown, or a stall. Cancel is the durable stop. A cut-off Hugging Face download retries once. The 360 LoRA download card shows real byte progress and a real wait; SDXL Base and 360 Redmond download on that page. Shared Repair on damaged-model surfaces; a refused toast finishes with Download Models. Installed cards show status (Ready, Installing, Queued, Not installed, Runs slow), measured size on disk, and fit detail (precision · est. VRAM minimum). Manage models sits beside the installed variant. 0 MB sizes stay hidden. Search models replaces the grouped catalog with a flat shelf of matching cards (1 model / N models, or No models match this search.). Download bars use the accent colour: a fill when percent is known, a moving sheen when it is not. Klein cards show a measured size or Size is confirmed when the download starts. TeleStyle install rows queue the required LoRA with the Q4 base.

GPU — Header GPU hover lists Loaded models. Stop & Unload confirms when a render is running. The mini history graph is shorter; temperature and power sit compact on that card.

Render widget — Settings is a stack of cards. Projection keeps Gnomonic and Stereographic on one row. Spotlight is its own card; Opacity sits there while it is enabled. Glide starts off: a mouse drag sticks to the picture. Turn Glide on to ease the camera; Camera smoothing (Snappy–Smooth, 25% default) and Response (Gentle–Quick) live in that card. Glide follows the clock, so a slow frame covers the same angle. Shift+wheel and Z+wheel scrub Response. Auto-rotate when idle is its own card. Dome Mode is the same card pattern on the Dome tab.

Render queue — Chrome matches the Downloads popover: header summary, section labels, active card, compact rows, icon actions.

Feedback — Help → Send Feedback can attach scrubbed session logs. Secrets are redacted.

Fixes

• Software-update dialog can close while the download continues. A cut installer download resumes from the partial file. The resume cursor stays when publishing the installer fails.
• 360 LoRA download card clears only when Cancel removed a queued file.
• Repair runs after a proven missing or invalid model file.

Alpha notes

Generate Layer is new. If a generate wait-pills forever or a sticker fails to land, send the log from Help → Send Feedback.

A later 1.2 alpha should appear in Help → Check for Updates.
