About

Built From Necessity

A tool shaped by the worlds I wanted to make and by the creative process I wanted back.

With slot machine AI, creations have stopped feeling like our own. We don't even rent our tools anymore. We pay per generation.

I watched the joy of creating art drain slowly from my life with every pull of the AI slot machine. Until it finally hit a nerve. I resolved to create a tool to take back my creative process.

I want to spend my time exploring the details, living in the chaotic emergence, for the love of the art and the joy of the process. I built 360 Hextile so I can render locally on my own GPU, shape the world around me, and keep refining the details until it matches my vision.

It is a work in progress, and I’m excited to share it with you. Join the Discord and tell me what to improve.

BUILT INSIDE THE WORK

Make worlds you love getting lost in.

I use 360 Hextile in my own work: environment concept art, 360° matte paintings, Unreal Engine skyboxes, and dome shows. These projects need more than a starting image. They need a world I can return to, reshape, and keep pushing until it holds together in every direction.

THE PROVING GROUND

Chakra Journey

Chakra Journey became the proving ground for 360 Hextile: a complete fulldome production made with the workflow I was building. Creating an immersive world for a real venue turned seams, stretched poles, uneven detail, and the need to revisit one region into practical design problems grounded in the work.

That production pressure shaped the tool. The result had to hold up around the full dome, and the process had to remain flexible enough to keep discovering the world while I made it.

WHAT THE WORK DEMANDED

The requirements became the product.

Each limitation I met while making these worlds became a design decision in 360 Hextile.

01

Detail in every direction

A world that surrounds the audience has no safe edge. Hextile divides sphere-space across a polyhedral mesh so neighboring tiles share context and the poles do not depend on a stretched flat projection.

02

A world I could keep shaping

Generating an image was never enough. I needed to look around the sphere, change one region, repair the poles, compare directions, and keep refining the same world instead of starting over.

03

My machine, my pace

Rendering on my own NVIDIA GPU gives me room to experiment, upscale, and revisit the details without cloud rendering fees or a charge attached to every generation.

Generate → Edit → Upscale → Refine → Export
